Please Pray for Madeline Pipkin

Daniel Pipkin asked me to post what happened to Madeline. Before I do that, the family has made 2 request: first continued prayers for Madeline, second is that people would donate blood if they are able. He said it doesn't matter where or type because blood is in short supply in emergency rooms everywhere.

Here is the short story: when they got home, they unloaded and Daniel disconnected from the trailer and pulled the truck forward a short piece. He got out for something and got back in the truck to park it. Somewhere in the process, the pressure washer was pulled out. Madeline was sitting beside the pressure washer which was in front of the truck and out of Daniels view. He couldn't see her or the pressure washer. As he pulled forward, he heard her say Dad as he ran over the pressure washer. He continued to pull slightly forward and as he did she came out from under the side of the truck. She was bent over forward and holding her phone in her hand. They don't know if she was sitting on the ground doing something on her phone or trying to connect the pressure washer. They immediately called 911 and didn't move her even though she asked them to help her up. This may have saved her life. Thank goodness only the body of the truck went over her and not the tire of the truck.

Here is the doctors report prior to surgery. She has some movement and feeling in one hand and her upper body. The doctors have said her spinal cord isn't severed, but is deeply bruised. Madeline and the family need our consistent prayers and love and support.

Daniel wanted this out there so hopefully he doesn't have to tell the story again. As you can image, he is distraught with what he did. I pray God's mercy will be revealed to him in a mighty way as they watch and help Madeline heal.

I will update after I hear a report from the surgery. Doctors have said progress will be slow until swelling goes down in her spinal column.
