Hadn't been seeing this

We catch up with Clay Boreing,
Read below to see what he's up to.

4-time SERA Enduro Champion ('97, '99, '06, '07)

1-time SERA Hare Scramble Champion ('98)

1-time BJEC Champion ('00)

ISDE Junior Trophy Team / Silver Medalist in Portugal ('99)

7th Overall National Enduro Series ('02)

1. Married yet?  if so, how’s the married life / how was the wedding?  Been playing your accordion for the wife??

Getting married July12th, to a great girl who's name is Tara. Planning a wedding is a lot of work. Yea I like to play my accordion when she goes to the bathroom, I'll stand outside the door and start whaling on it. (She loves it.) [got accordion by winning ADR enduro]

2.  what's your occupation and how's that going?

I work for Dad at our water well company. It can get heated working for family but for the most part its good.

3.  How hard did you have to try the last two years to overall sera or was it just show up and race?

Its never been easy but it was for sure harder the last 2 years cause my body feels like its 60yrs old now. I never have been much on training, so being a little older made it a challenge.

4. what do you think about Cliff [Ousley] on a roll this year, do you wish you were racing against him…give him a little challenge?

I'm proud to see Cliff doing so well. I knew he had it in him to do it, because he has always had alot of speed but never could put it all together to stay consistent. Yea he better be glad I'm not ridin cause I would have to put him in check,JUST KIDDING. its probably best i leave mine in the shed.

5. why did you shut it down for ’08 after winning the last two years and will you be back/if so when?

Mainly cause I have so much other stuff going on and there were times I would be getting ready for a race or at a race when I really wished I was somewhere else so I decided that I would lay out again. I basically wanted to come back and see if I could win it again and go out on top before one of these young bucks comes and starts hurtin my feelings.

6.   For the 24 hour teams out there possibly looking for a secret weapon – would you be interested in riding for a team?

SORRY THATS A FOR SURE NO, I WOULD DIE

7.  One more: How many kids are ya’ll gonna have?  Are you going to let him/her/them race?

Try and have 2 kids if it works out that way and they will be for sure racing, cause watching them and getting to do that beer drinking pit thing sounds right up my ally.

Thanks I know you're probably busy!

Yea thank yall, its good to know that yall still want to hear from an ole "has been"

Take Care,

Clay Boreing
