Sicily Island, LA

First off, thanks to the Cooper family for allowing us to race on their amazing property. This race is very unique for Louisiana, it features lots of hills, sand pits and lots of nice scenery. The summer heat finally set in and it was a little dusty at first, but as the race went on some moister started to come up and the ground conditions got really good.

Forrest Smith got the holeshot and checked out taking first overall. Jason Harvey came off a DNF at the last round with bike problems, to taking a solid 2nd overall. Hutton Woods is staying consistent at every round taking 3rd overall. Ethan Bryant takes his first top five finish for 2013 with a 4th overall. Stephen Sturges puts in another great performance finishing in the top five for the first time in 2013 with 5th overall.
Forrest smith 1st overall                                             Jason Harvey 2nd overall

Haven Alfred

The racing stayed tight in the Kids Vet class. Noah Shaw got the hole shot and led for more than a lap, until making an mistake and allowing Haven Alford to make the pass for the lead. These two have been battling all year long.

Hutton Woods 3rd overall

In the XC2 class we had some great racing, with John Mclemore working his way up from a bad start to taking 1st. While Wesley Burks and Corey Altazin were within inches of each other on getting the hole shot. Wesley Burks took 2nd while Corey Altazin took 3rd.

Courtney Gerald still dominating the Womens class.

Shelia Monk
In the Beginner 40+ class, Shelia Monk put in an impressive ride making the podium for the first time in 2013.

Austin getting the hole shot
Some great racing in the PEEWEE class between Austin Bradford and Coty Woods. Austin got the hole shot and took 1st, with Coty staying on his back tire the whole race taking 2nd and David Weaver rounding out the top three with 3rd.
