Forrest Smith grabbed the hole shot followed by Stephen Sturges, Jason Harvey, Evan Shows and Dakotah Smith. Stephen Sturges fell back a few positions and finished a solid 6th overall. It was Brett Fontenot's first race for 2013 and he took an amazing 5th overall, while Jason Harvey had bike problems. Dakotah Smith is improving every race, taking 4th overall. Evan Shows rode smart and stayed consistent the whole race finishing 3rd overall. Hutton Woods came from a dead last start to catching Forrest Smith on the second to last lap, they went though the motocross track side by side. Forrest Smith was able to turn it up one more notch to pull a little gap on the last lap and take 1st overall for the second time in 2013, while Hutton Woods finished an amazing 2nd overall. |
First Turn XC1 By: Ashton Vidrine Look for some more great battles to come from Forrest Smith and Hutton Woods. |
Hutton Woods 2nd Overall |
Wesley Burks grabbing the hole shot in XC2 |
In the XC2 class, Daltyn Kennedy got off to a great start
and lead every lap till he had bike problems and had to pull
out the race. Wesley Burks has always raced XC1 until now
when he decided to make the change to XC2. The change went
great finishing first in XC2. Clint Woods is staying
consistent with 2nd overall. Jason Reine rounded off the
podium with third overall. We had another great battle in the Senior 50+ class between Donny Graham and Bennie Waldrop. They switched positions for first and second all day with Bennie Waldrop pushing Donny Grahams back tire through the scoring tent. |
Another 20+ Pit Bikes lined up to race. Forrest Smith took home a brand new Fly racing Helmet for taking 1st. Corey Altazin battled with Forrest half way threw untill his bike started giving him problems and had to settle for 2nd. Braeden Van Way finished a solid 3rd. We would like to thank CNC Motorsports for donating a PisterPro pit bike for a year end drawing in the Pit Bike class. |
Pete Comeaux Some great racing in the Beginner PEEWEE. Pete Comeaux was on fire taking 1st, with Lincoln Woods on the gas taking a solid 2nd, and Jack Comeaux rounding out 3rd on the podium. |
